Day 4 Of Japan! Osaka Castle and Last Day In Osaka :(

I finally got some free time to continue working on these! This was officially our last day in Osaka. Beautiful place that was laid back compared to when we went to Tokyo. It was a good thing though that we went to Osaka first instead of Tokyo, because I would’ve probably missed the Tokyo vibe to begin with! lol.

Like I said, Osaka felt like it was more laid back to me and the people there were “nicer” and just had a “homey” feel. If I was to go back to Japan again, I’d definitely go to Osaka first. Or maybe switch it up and go to Tokyo first, then to Osaka. Idk though, who know’s what the next Japan adventure will be.

But this last day, we went to visit the famous Osaka castle but didn’t make it to the top of the castle. We paid our fare to get into the castle, but once we saw the line to go up the elevator to the top, I wasn’t down for that lol. Plus we were on a time schedule to catch our bullet train to Tokyo so we couldn’t waste any time! It was a cool historic place to visit though. Now I can say I been to the famous Osaka Castle lol.

Flight Out and Day 1 of Japan!!!

What’s up guys! This is officially the start of the Japan trip the girlfriend and I took in the beginning of October. In this video I showed our flight from Honolulu to Japan and what we ended up doing on our first official day there. I can’t tell you how much this video got me in my feels about Japan while I was creating it! Japan is just an amazing place! If you haven’t visited there yet, IT’S A MUST, or if you have already been there, then you already know why I’m in my feels lol.

Check out what we did and I can promise you that more videos from the trip are in the works and coming soon! You can also peep the photos and read about the other things we did while in Japan. There might not be too much photos this time, but that’s because I took a majority of video clips to sharpen my video skills even further.

Made In Hawaii – I STARTED A NEW BRAND

As you can see from the title, I CREATED A NEW BRAND! This isn’t a sub brand or anything relating to “SPhoto”. This is a totally separate thing all run by me. Of course it’s a Hawaii based brand since I live here in Hawaii, born & raised lol. I’d like to properly introduce y’all to the brand. I started this brand because not only did I want to own and wear my own apparel, but for those who don’t know, I’ve been in “the t-shirt game” ever since I start photography back in 2010. I used to push photo designs under my “SPhoto” name for a few years. Although I’ve had a few successes with some photo designs, but I realized it’s a bit difficult to sell those types of designs. I won’t bore you with the details but creating “Made In Hawaii” is my new business venture. I’ll be focusing more on typography and digital art types of designs from here on out. Maybe a few photo designs will pop up here and there but only if it can relate to the current project that’s being worked on new apparel.

This day at the printing shop was the official start of production of the very first t-shirt design. I stopped by the shop so I could document this for y’all to see what goes on behind the scenes, just in case you’ve never seen anything like it before. My printer that I’m currently going through is a homie from high school so I know the printing is in good hands!

I’ve set this brand to officially launch on April 13th this year. So be sure to stay up to date and follow my store’s instagram (@madeinhawaiisc) for current updates and upcoming drops.

After 5 Months, We Finally Had A Day Off Together

Ever since coming back from Bali in October last year, we just been busy with work and conflicting schedules. Well this day, we happen to have the day off together so we didn’t let it go to waste so we shot a little bit before heading out to dinner. I definitely will be doing more shoots with Shaz. I mean she’s practically by my side 24/7 lol. Need to plan better and use more of our days off together.

Boutique Shoot For Pipe Dreams Surf Co

Recently did a boutique shoot for Pipe Dreams Surf Co (@pipedreams_surfer) with Anna (@lovealwaysannaa) & Kerah (@keeeraah). This shoot was focused more on the fashion side compared to the norm of bikini’s, tee’s, and other stuff like that. Kerah was the one who reached out to me and had inspirations of the location of the shoot from popular instagram beauty guru, Flamcis. After showing me the idea, I was all for it since it was basically my style of shooting; on the streets. As you’ll see from the photos and video as you dig deeper into this feature, we shot at 2 of Hawaii’s OG and well known food spots on the island. Although the shoots are always fun, the thing that I was looking forward to the most was eating after the shoot lol. Here’s a hint, after the shoot I HAD TO grab myself a to-go plate of boneless chicken w/ gravy all over!

Aloha Made Me Do It “Lei Aloha” Design Are Available In Store and Coming Soon Online

This new design from AMMDI is called “Lei Aloha”. I did a quick google search of, “Lei Aloha” because I was curious to what it meant and it came back as, “Leialoha” (no space), which interprets to a Hawaiian name for babies meaning “beloved child”. This design dropped specifically for the women. AMMDI released this design in store already but soon to drop at their online store. The design only comes in one colorway, but there are 4 different styles you can choose from with a few color options for each style. Crop tees come in beige and white, crop long sleeves come in white and red, racerback tanks come in black and charcoal, and lastly the muscle tee only comes in white. Don’t sleep on these though, because I just got word that the crop long sleeves are SUPER LIMITED! So if you’re interested in copping this for yourself, you can find it at Pipe Dreams Surf Co. at Pearl Ridge Uptown near Ross or just wait for these to drop online real soon.

Forest/Nature Photo Shoot With Caitlin

I wanted to change up the scenery from what the team and I normally do. What I had in mind originally was to do something street (which I love shooting) but I had a feeling the team wanted to shoot something different lol. I had no story line for the shoot, no theme because I couldn’t think of anything. My mind drew blank so it was just a “normal” shoot. During the shoot though, little bits and pieces of ideas came to mind of how some parts of the video should go so it wasn’t totally “theme-less” lol. UPDATED Model Feature: Shazvee

Officially our last day at our last villa. Bittersweet feeling of leaving and going home. I kind of don’t want to leave but at the same time I want to go back home to Hawaii. We did our last shoot here in Bali paradise. I’m gonna miss everything from the pool, to the people, to the cheap food to the stores we don’t have, to the chill people that we met, etc. Check out this last shoot that we did by clicking here or clicking on the photo above.
