Finding new people to work with in this day and age isn’t that hard to do, especially with all this social media that took over!  All you have to do is check up on your instagram and see if anyone you might be interested in working with wants to work with you.  SIMPLE! Lol.  All you gotta do is send a DM and just wait…

That’s how I find new people to work with.  It’s convenient and I do it all in the comfort of my bed.  Lol!  Literally no effort, except for working your fingers when reaching out to people.  That’s how I found Caitlin aka @_ktastik.  If I remember correctly, I think she liked some of my work in a row (you know how you see the same person like 5 times in a row while scrolling) and the curious person that I am, I always tend to check those profiles when they like my stuff, especially in a row.  I saw that she had some photo’s which I thought were shot from a camera (like a DSLR camera) so I DM’d her to ask if she’d like to work together and ask her who took her photo’s.  Man was I fooled.  Come to find out, it was her boyfriend, then she went on to saying it was taken from her phone.  I forgot that apple came out with their portrait mode for their phones!  Lol.  All good though because it seemed as if she had done some modeling before from the looks of her pictures.  So I set up a shoot date with Caitlin and as soon as you know it, here comes shoot day.  If you guys can guess where we shot, comment the answer below!  But if you don’t know then keep on searching because it’s here on the island some where lol.

I chose this location because I wanted to change up the scenery from what the team and I normally do.  What I had in mind originally was to do something street (which I love shooting) but I had a feeling the team wanted to shoot something different lol.  I had no story line for the shoot, no theme because I couldn’t think of anything.  My mind drew blank so it was just a “normal” shoot.  During the shoot though, little bits and pieces of ideas came to mind of how some parts of the video should go so it wasn’t totally “theme-less” lol.  It turned out to being a (if I HAD to name it) nature-ish vibe which would be the opposite of what I love to shoot but it ended up turning out pretty good!

Always keeping an open mind, learning new styles, and never ending learning is good for you.  Although I’ll always wanna keep shooting street content, there’s always room for different concepts that I’m willing to take on any day!
